Is it irresponsible to have a pet due to emissions?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 07 Jan 2010
There has been some focus in the media recently on the carbon emissions of pets.
Basically it has been shown that particularly larger pets like dogs can have very large emissions in terms of how much energy is needed to create their food for a year.
However it would be a brave person to tell a dog owner that their beloved pooch was not environmentally friendly and that the owner was being selfish to the planet by having a pet!!!
