Is it not possible that we might create consciousness and another reality inside a computer world

with the advancement of computing,it seems to me that in the future worlds and things populating these cyber worlds might have some ability to understand self and have some ability to be aware? all that seems needed is a motivational premise and a mathematical formulae that is close to evolutionary principals?

Yes this is not logically impossible in fact it may even be probable.

There are interesting theories out there such as simulation theory that, if you buy the premises, imply that it is actually highly likely that we ourselves live in a simulation by some higher intelligence, which is interesting food for thought!
