Is it worth being a freelancer in photography?

Asked on: 14 Aug 2009

If you want to have the freedom of working your own hours and being master of your own destiny, and perhaps working on a commission and by project basis, then certainly there is a lot to be said for working as a freelance.

It is not for everyone though and you will need discipline to manage your own workload and be prepared to accept that income could vary quite a bit from one month to the next.
