Is JK Rowling the richest author?

JK Rowling is said to be the richest of all authors in the world and infact perhaps the only billionaire author that there is.

The books have been a global phenomenon and guaranteed to sell in huge quantities. The pubilsher Bloomsbury has made a fortune from Harry Potter and must be sad that they have stopped now.

As for JK herself, well with all the films also being huge successes and with of course also all the merchandise there is no doubt that she has made an absolute fortune from the Harry Potter brand!
