Is modelling a proper job?
Question asked by: mrquestion

It depends who you are asking as to whether modelling is a proper job or not.
For many old school people then this is basically a new lardy dah media job that has no bearing on the real world or what people do.
However for many years it has been a burgeoning industry with so much advertising and therefore so many companies needing models to advertise their products, take part in catalogues and so on.
Therefore modelling is a real job and in one sense just as worthy as any other, although if you go into modelling you should be prepared for the occasional raised eyebrow, particularly if you go into the glamour market or something seedier like that.
