Is nature photography difficult?
Asked on: 14 Aug 2009
I think the biggest difficulty with nature photography is that it takes a lot of time and patience.
Particularly if you want to shoot something that is not guaranteed to appear (which is virtually always the case in the wild) then you can have to be prepared to spend a long time waiting and potentially nothing happening.
Then if something does happen you need to be alert enough and quick enough to respond - not easy if you have been sitting bored in a field for hours on end waiting for an elusive deer to appear or, worse, a fast moving bird overhead that you may get only seconds to shoot!
