Is online dating a good way of meeting a partner?

Online dating is one of many methods of meeting someone.

It is probably best not to pin your hopes on just one method but rather to try a range of different ways of meeting the special someone.

One of the good things about online is that you can perhaps break the ice and so get to know a little about someone before you meet them so it is not going into it entirely blind.

However I think if you are going to meet someone then you don't want to leave it too long after meeting online as then you might start to build up a picture of them in your mind which will be let down by reality more often than not. But of course always follow the safety procedures of the dating site when meeting someone!
