Is perception more important than performance in large companies?
Question asked by: knowitall

Are you disillusioned with your bonus or performance review by any chance?
Yes, many people fear that perception is more important than reality when it comes to performance reviews and getting on and up in a big company.
The more that the company says its all about performance and a meritocracy the worse it can seem to get.
The bottom line is that you need to influence well and manage your manager excellently to get on in business - whilst this may sound the wrong way to go about it, it is true!
