Is reality TV going to be as big in the 2010s?

Hopefully not!
I think the big brother phenomenon in the noughties was a curse and a blessing, but more the former than the latter.
It launched a whole series of cheap and lazy television shows that required no production or script as you basically shoved a group of people in a studio somewhere and watched what happened. This was great for program makers as it saved any effect but people soon get bored of watching this sort of show and of course they had to keep on pushing boundaries to make it interesting.
So hopefully the tennies will see a return to normal old school broadcasting like the good old days!
