Is there a stigma to meeting people online?
Question asked by: mrquestion

There is less of a stigma now than there used to be.
In the early days of the internet and online dating there is no doubt that many people would raise an eyebrow if you said that you met your partner online.
However it is becoming more and more common these days and so therefore with most people of a younger generation that stigma is not there anymore. It may still be the case for, say, over 50s, but in general there is less of a stigma now and it is a bit narrow minded to still raise an eyebrow as apparently millions of people around the world now use online dating to meet partners.
