Is there any fast-track route to television presenting?

No, there is no fast track route to television presenting.
It is just a case of going for those auditions to be a presenter for a new Television show or at a TV channel.
Some have structured "talent" programmes that they run so you could potentially apply for one of those, but in general it is a case of simply going for lots of presenting jobs until you happen to get one.
