Its about momentum.

a spaceship travelling through space at 6800m/s relative to the earth consisting of both a motor of mass 600kg and a capsule of mass 280kg releases the motor such that the capsule travels at 7300m/s in the opposite direction. calculate the speed of the motor after its been released.

The way to work out the answer to this question is to read your textbook and learn what the method and equation that you need to use is.
