Just built a redwood deck. Wood is very green. How long should I wait to put a preservative on the wood?
Question asked by: knowitall

Leave for a couple of weeks to settle down first before using a preservative and to allow the wood time to breathe as it were.
You won't get best results if you do it straight away.
