Maths homework help?

The product of 2 numbers is 3840. If one number 4 more than the other number, then find the smaller number.

What you need to do is to express this in terms of algebra to help you work out what is going on, to get this:

x * (x + 4) = 3840

... now you can work out the rest from there.
