Mitosis

Why is duplication of a chromosome required before mitosis can occur?
Question asked by: binky17

Asked on: 21 Oct 2008

Because the process of mitosis requires two copies of the chromosome; therefore in order for mitosis to occur it needs to have the two copies which means duplication needs to take place first.
