The fulcrum of a seesaw 4meters long is located 2.5meters from one end.A person weighing 250newton sits on the long end. What must be the weight of a person sitting at the short end to balance the seesaw? Ignore the weight of the seesaw

250x 2.5 = y x 1.5

I'm not sure but I think that that is presumably the equation that you need to solve?

If that's right, and you should check the reasoning as I'm not fully sure, then this means that 625 / 1.5 is the answer which is 417N.
