My friend got the job not me and I've lost confidence in interviews?
Question asked by: mrquestion

If you are a friend both went for a job and you got it and they did not get it then this can be quite galling.
However remember that this is not necessarily a reflection on you being 'worse' than them as there is a lot of luck and being in the right place and time with interviews with regard to what they are looking for and the ability of the interviewer to perceive whether each candidate has the qualities they are after and how good they would be at the job.
So therefore don't let it get you down, pick yourself up and go for another job. Things usually turn out for the best in the long run and when you do get the job you are after eventually then you will wonder what all the fuss was about.
