Reason to add alchohol to car radiator

Question asked by: tstark11

Asked on: 30 Jan 2011

I'm not a car driver so I don't know for sure however I believe that would lower the freezing point, and therefore make it less likely for the liquid in the radiator to freeze when it is cold and thus that could be a good reason for so doing?
