Should I have a one or two page CV?
Question asked by: knowitall

The one or two page CV debate is almost as old as some philosophical questions.
The answer is that it is down to personal preference - some people prefer two page CVs whilst others prefer one page CVs.
The good news is that you are safe going with either.
As a rule of thumb if you can fit all key achievements on one page, don't go to two for the sake of it or to appear longer.
Similarly if a two page CV requires you to pad, then cut down to one page.
Note that you should never go beyone two pages and of course one and a half is fine - no need to pad out to a full two pages at all!
