Siblings

Explain how siblings can be related 0-100%?
Question asked by: amara2525

Asked on: 15 Apr 2008

Siblings are 100% related if they have both parents the same.

If they have just one parent the same for instance then clearly there is no 100% relationship as one parent is not the same so perhaps they are 50% related.

If there is 0% relation then in no sense are they siblings and they are two separate human beings.

Technically no-one is 0% related if we assume that all humans alive ultimately have the same ancestors (not necessarily the case).
