Stability of ion

We know, Fe3+ ion is more stable than Fe2+ because of completely half-filled d-0rbital(d5). But, why Cu++ (d9) is more stable than Cu+ (d10)?

This is due to the stability of the atom and the electronic configuration being more stable in that case.
