# The price of a cd player has been reduced by 15% in a sale . it now costs £320. what was the original price?

This is a classic percentage based maths question, it crops up in GCSE papers and things so is worth working out how to solve!

It now costs £320 having been reduced 15%. So write it as an equation.

0.85x = 320

Therefore x is £376.47
