Thermal properties

i am looking for the thermal properties of rocks that can be used in the construction of building? which types hold heat longer, get warm quicker, etc. i know there is a book or site that can help me, i just need a point in the right direction please.

This sounds like quite a specialised question.

Many websites of large companies explain how their impressive buildings were built and the sort of stone, for instance there is lots of info on construction details for large iconic buildings in New York etc which might be of use as to what sort of stones were used and why.
