Using search engines

I have set up a website for my company. How do I get my website to be recognized by the search engines such as Bing, Google, etc. so that there will be traffic at the website?

Well this process is called search engine optimisation and can be a little time consuming.

You need to let other people know about your website and to do this you need to get links in so that google and other search engines can find it.

Email webmasters of sites that are related and ask if they are interested in swapping links. Also post on twitter with links to your site and also see if you can get some free press releases done and submitted to sites that take press releases that contain your web address.
