What are enthymemes?

This is a by and large statement, or one that is not 100% correct. Or a partial syllogism.

For example, All women are quarrelsome
Irene is quarrelsome
You can see that the middle term is supressed thus, making it a second order enthymemes. The complete syllogism is:
All women are quarrelsome
Irene is a woman
therefore Irene is quarrelsome.
If the major term is supressed, it becomes a first order enthymemes and lastly, when the conclusion is supressed, it becomes a third order enthymemes.
