What are the compositions of neptune?
Question asked by: knowitall

Interesting question with regard the composition of Neptune and its atmosphere.
Here are our current thoughts about a planet we really know very little about:
Neptune's atmosphere we believe to consist primarily of molecular hydrogen - in fact concentration is hig at around 80%.
Next up, as usual, comes the second lightest element that is of course helium 19%.
The significant other is methane, weighing in at around 1.5%. And that's what we believe the composition of Neptune to be!
