What are the names of Mars' moons?
Question asked by: knowitall
Mars moons are called Phobos and Deimos.
They are very small indeed.
Estimates suggest that Phobos is about 27 kilometres in its longest dimension.
Deimos is even smaller at only 15 kilometres in its longest dimension.
Therefore they are small insignificant lumps of rock these moons of Mars, probably captured space rock at some stage in the past, and therefore of little interest.
