What are the seven levels which hair goes through as the lightener processes

Not sure that there are actually seven levels are there?

I guess you need to wash the hair first, then apply the bleach, then wait for it to oxidise the hair which is what leads to it being lightened, then wash it out again, then make the hair shiny... not sure really!
