WHAT ARE THE THREE MAIN STEPS IN RESPIRATION?

There are three main steps in respiration as you said.

The first is the breaking down of glucose and so that is called Glycolysis.

The second is the Krebs Cycle.

And the third is The Electron Transport Chain.

This is the process that creates most of the energy from the process of respiration.
