What causes unhappiness?

Question asked by: knowitall

Unhappiness can be caused by many things indeed.

Often it is a response to a real situation, for instance tragedy, loss or loneliness.

However quite often it is caused by perceived problems rather than real ones. For instance worrying if you are popular enough with your friends, or if you are attractive.

The constant questioning of yourself and your actions and your position in society and amongst friends and peers is another real cause of unhappiness.

Therefore if this applies to you you need to ask less questions and cut yourself some slack.

Enjoy being you, be comfortable with that, and remove pressure on yourself to conform to some ideas that society is trying to impose on you but rather be yourself and enjoy who you are.
