What clothes should you wear on a date?

It depends where you are goin on the date.
If you are going to MacDonalds or for a pizza then you will just want to dress normally. If however your date is taking you to the opera or the theatre etc then you would be expected to dress more smartly.
For a generic restaurant type meal then it would be good to make some sort of effort - therefore wearing a nice dress could be a good idea. For something casual then wear a nice top and your smartest pair of jeans, you want to show that you have made some sort of effort even if dressing casually.
