What colour does litmus paper turn in alkali?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 04 Jan 2010
In an alkali, or what is called a base in terms of chemistry, the litmus paper turns a blue colour.
Therefore this is a useful test for a base or alkaki, note that it is called a base because it neutralises an acid.
