What degree is best if you want to get employment?
Question asked by: mrquestion

This is hard to say, but certainly those who have degrees in science are more likely to be able to go straight into employment as there are so many careers that need a degree of some sort.
Particularly if you have a doctorate then there may be opportunities that are tailor made for you that require your particular specialism.
With an arts degree it can be much harder as most jobs will not actually use any of the knowledge you built up in that degree unlike science or maths related jobs but rather will look at generalist skills so you have less of a sales pitch straight out of university with those degrees.
