What do all plastics have in common?

Plastics have several things in common amongst them all.
The most important thing in common is that they are all synthetic and entirely man made.
Plastics have never been found naturally occurring anywhere in nature.
The second thing is a chemical similarity - they are all made by consisting of very long polymers of organic material.
Thirdly they are all liquid at some stage of being made, can be shaped, and when finished they are solid.
