What evidence is there for special relativity?

Question asked by: knowitall

Many experiments have been done for which special relativity accurately predicts the outcome and expectations.

One such example is with regard subatomic particles. In particle accelerators, electrons can be accelerated to near light speed. We can see by measurement that their mass increases dramatically, as is predicted by special relativity.
