What is £1.76 increased by 10% to the nearest penny

This is 1.76 + 17.6 which is of course 19.36 or 19.4p to the nearest penny.

What knowitall says is very interesting, you can however do the calculation with just one multiplication
if you understand that £1:76 is 100% all we want to is add 10% to that therefore you times £1.76 by 110% (or as it is also know 1.1). You get the calculation
1.1 x £1.76 = £1.936 (rounded up to the nearest penny)
