What is 2.5% of £7,000
Question asked by: stephy
2.5% of 7,000 is what you need to know.
Well if you have to do this without a calculator here is a handy little tip for you that I use.
First, work out an easy figure - here 1%.
Well 1% is obviously 70. Then work out how to get from 1 to 2.5 - answer, multiply by two and a half!
Well half of 70 is 35, so we have 2 x 70 + 35 is the answer which is obviously 175 and there's the answer.
