What is a business angel?

If you want to think of a business angel as being an angel then it's a bit misleading as this is usually a cold hearted business decision!
Anyway a business angel is basically an investor (usually private) who gives money and ideally experience to a new outfit or operation in its ealy stages often with a financial commitment too.
