What is a double crossword?

A double crossword, or two speed crossword, is one whereby you have one grid but there are two sets of clues to the grid.
For instance there might be quick clues and also cryptic clues.
Often in this scenario the answers are the same in both cases but the clues are different. However also you can have two separate puzzles that have different answers but simply share the same grid pattern.
