What is a magic square?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 07 Apr 2008

A magic square is a square that has special properties, hence the name of magic given to it.
It refers to a square of numbers such that the numbers in each row and column add up to the same number, a curious and interesting property indeed.
It is credited as being the brainchild of Euler a long long time ago, and certainly is seen by some as a forerunner of puzzles like sudoku that add extra constraints.
