What is a manicure?

Manicure comes from the word manus for hand in latin, and refers to the process of caring for and looking after the nails.
A manicure is therefore a pampering treatment that is usually given to women and makes your fingers look nice and well groomed. So basically this is something women get to treat themselves and make their hands and nails look good perhaps for a big occasion or event such as a wedding and so on.
