What is Ceres?
Question asked by: knowitall
Ceres is the largest asteroid in the asteroid belt that sits between the planets Mars and Jupiter.
Ceres would be a pluton or one of 12 objects in a new proposed solar system which may surprise many. However it is sufficient in size that its gravity has pulled it into a roughly spherical shape and of course the asteroid ring goes around the sun, hence it seems to fit the key criteria.
