What is era?

Question asked by: knowitall

The word 'era' refers to a period in time. It can be used loosely in the general sense like 'end of an era' to refer to a specific period in someones life.

It can also be used in a more geographical and stricter sense to refer to set periods in time, such as the Jurassic for instance.
