What is geography?

The definition of geography can be found by looking it up in any dictionary or going to your favourite search engine and typing in something like define:geograpy to get a variety of different definitions.
The most simple and succinct definition is that geography is the study of the Earth's surface and you can't go much wrong with that definition.
