What is significance of boiling point and melting point, explain
Question asked by: bhupesh

These are significant because they lead to what is known as a state change.
This is where the physical representation of a chemical changes.
So with water, when it turns to a liquid it turns from solid, regular packed crystal (ice) to the liquid water. Then when it boils, it 'disappears' to the eye, having enough energy to disperse and separate from other water moleclues into vapour/steam.
