What is the Apprentice interview process like?

Having known someone who went through the first stage of the process it was pathetic.

Basically at the interview they went into some big room in London and there were a huge number of people there all dressed in business wear waiting in lines.

After a few hours waiting they got called into a room and got lined up. They then had literally a minute or so to say why they should be the next apprentice or be on the apprentice.

Only those that delivered cheesy lines and were a bit odd for one reason or another seemed to get through, the rest got sent home straight away so basically wasted their whole day for less than a minute.
