What is the best pair of binoculars for birdwatching?

There is no best pair of binoculars for birdwatching.
In general though for standard distances something of around 10 - 12x magnification should be sufficient to give you a good view.
if you are looking at long distances then you can also get special birding scopes these are a little like telescopes but designed for looking at birds rather than the stars!
