What is the best way to solve a sudoku puzzle?

The best way to solve a sudoku puzzle is to be quite logical and to work through using pencilmarks to note down what values can go in each cell at each stage.
By doing this and updating pencilmarks whenever you make a deduction then you can be sure to be able to solve it.
