What is the countdown conundrum?

The countdown conundrum is the name given to the final round on the popular and long running channel 4 tv show that is known as countdown.
Basically all that it actually is is a nine letter anagram.
The contestants have 30 seconds in which to work out what the answer is and they compete against each other, which ever presses the buzzes first gets the chance to guess and may be awarded what I think is 10 points if they get it right.
Often the anagram makes a word itself or a series of words that is amusing rather than a random shuffling.
