What is the great valley that extends, with several breaks, from Syria to central Mozambique?

The answer is the Great Rift Valley.
This is a system of geological faults.
It extends a cool 3000 miles - that's some 4830km, and starts in Northern Syria.
In sum it is a massive fault system.
